Distinguished 'Public Service and Governance' Award

Submit Your Nominee

The Distinguished Alumnus Award in Public Service and Governance targets any Mfantsipim Old Boys Association member who has made a significant contribution to society in public service and governance. Their careers and accomplishments should have brought credit and honour to Mfantsipim. Posthumous recognition is permitted.


Proposer

A nominee must be proposed by someone familiar with the nominee’s character and achievements. The proposer must provide a profile or curriculum vitae of the nominee, including reasons for the nomination.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

The nominee must;
1. be distinguished in public or civil service or institutional governance
2. have received previous recognition from contemporaries
3. have made a notable impact in their industry or field or community of endeavour (including national and international contributions) through service, voluntarism or leadership.
4. have a sustained record of achievement over their career
5. Must have been an alumnus for more than 15 years

Exclusion

No MOBA member may be excluded from this award by virtue of any official position held in the Association


Achievement Criteria

Areas of assessment may include:

1. Professional achievements, including institutional leadership, policy formulation and implementation
2. Extension and Community service, including mentorship, influence on national and international policy and advocacy for community development
3. Service to Mfantsipim School
4. Character and integrity
5. Overall impact on their field, nation or the world
