Sports Excellence Award

The recipient of the Sports Excellence Award must either be an alumnus or someone closely connected with School like a former teacher. Award may be given posthumously

Proposer

A nominee must be proposed by someone who is familiar with the nominee’s character and achievements in any field of Sports /Sporting Activity and is able to facilitate provision of the required verifiable supporting material.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

The nominee:
1. Must be a sports personality of national or international reputation

2. Must have made significant contributions to society in a sporting discipline

3. Successfully participated in a chosen field of sports at the national and /or international level

4. Successfully facilitated delivery of sports initiatives at the national and /or international level

Exclusion

No nominee for an award may be a member of the selection committee for that award.

Achievement Criteria

1. Preferably be the past or current holder of a sporting record at the national and / or international level.

2. Must have trained or mentored other notable sporting personalities in any sports discipline.
