Distinguished 'Alumnus Leadership' Award

The recipient of the Emerging Alumnus Award is an Mfantsipim Old Boys Association (MOBA) who has made a significant contribution to society and demonstrates potential impactful leadership in a chosen field of endeavour. The individual must be recognised as someone who understands contemporary global issues and how emerging technologies and innovations such as artificial intelligence, digital platforms and marketing can be harnessed to better understand societal challenges and evolve education, business development, scientific discovery, public services, and geopolitical landscape to overcome such challenges.


Proposer

A nominee must be proposed by someone familiar with the nominee’s character and achievements and is able to facilitate provision of required supporting verifiable material.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

The nominee must:
1. Must have been an alumnus for less than 15 years
2. Demonstrate thought leadership and strategic influence in defined contemporary global issues using emerging technologies and innovative methods in a chosen field
3. Have made impact as characterised by change in direction or trajectory in the operations in the chosen field
4. Clearly recognised by their peers as a leader with a proven track record

Exclusion
No MOBA may be excluded from this award by virtue of any official position held in the Association or participation in the selection of nominees
No nominee may be a member of the selection committee


Achievement Criteria

1. Demonstrated innovation and impact through the use of emerging technologies to address and solve societal challenges within a specific field.

2. Evidence of exemplary service to the school and relevant stakeholders

3. The evidence should be appropriately validated by documentation, awards and references from peers and colleagues
