Distinguished 'Edzikanfo' Award

This award is presented to individuals, groups, or institutions that played a significant role in the conception, establishment, and development of Mfantsipim before Ghana’s independence, particularly during its formative years. Posthumous recognition is permitted.


Proposer

An individual or group familiar with the nominee’s role and achievements, and able to provide the required supporting verifiable materials, such as reports, testimonials, feedback, or a demonstration of the nominee’s contributions to Mfantsipim School.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion
The nominee

1. Must have a demonstrable and sustained contribution in the conceptualisation, establishment, and growth of Mfantsipim School over a period of five years or more

2. Must have received recognition or endorsement from recognised authorities or relevant governing bodies confirming the nominee’s role and impact in their community, industry or profession through service, philanthropy, voluntarism or leadership

3. Must have clear leadership and vision that have driven transformative outcomes for Mfantsipim School

Exclusion
The nominee’s contribution should be limited to the formative years of Mfantsipim.


Achievement Criteria

Areas of assessment may include:

1. Contribution to the establishment of Mfantsipim

2. Demonstration of the spirit of voluntarism

3. Demonstration of philanthropy beneficial to Mfantsipim and the community at large

4. Measurable outcomes such as improved educational quality, student success, or community impact attributed to the nominee’s efforts.

5. Evidence of commitment to inclusive, equitable, and value-based education promoting Mfantsipim School’s long-term sustainability and growth.


Number of Awards

This award may be given to more than one nominee.


Submission of Nominations

All nominations shall be made on a prescribed Nomination Form and submitted through the appropriate recommended channel.
